My first trip to Paris, in my mid-twenties, came at a time when I needed a fresh start.
I still remember stepping off the train. The butterflies, the freedom, the feeling that something within me had shifted. That first spark never left me, and My Beautiful Paris became my way of keeping it alive by sharing my experiences, discoveries, and all the beauty that extraordinary city inspired.
Over the years, what began as a personal Paris project quietly evolved into something deeper. A fascination with the essence of hospitality itself. How a place makes you feel. How thoughtful details, genuine care, and authenticity can turn a simple stay into something truly unforgettable.
Along the way, my travels have become shared experiences. My husband Scott happily hops along on these adventures, embracing the role of travel companion and fully accepting that I am, without question, the travel boss. And of course there is Ted, our adorable cavapoo pup, always waiting for us when we return.
Today, this evolution has become NORMA, travel inspired. Why my name? Because every part of this site comes directly from my own experiences, tastes, and travels.
It is a natural next chapter, one that explores not only exceptional hotels and destinations, but also well-being, balance, and meaningful experiences. Because travel, at its best, is not just about where we go, but how it transforms us along the way.

Here I am in September 2018 at one of my favourite places - Plaza Athénée - looking out at one of my favourite views.
It was one of those golden Paris days: sunny, soft, and impossibly beautiful. My husband snapped this photo while I was trying out life as a blonde, an interesting phase that didn’t last long. I’ll happily take my auburn!
