My husband and I took an impromptu trip to France last summer. I love being spontaneous. Sometimes it makes him a little crazy. Fair enough, especially when I say, “Pack your bags, we’re leaving in two days.” Yes, that is exactly what I did.
I found a great deal at a beautiful hotel in Champagne, and Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa became our home for five glorious days. Sleeping in, Champagne-tasting lunches, and long afternoons by the pool were completely rejuvenating.

This hotel is simply wonderful. Our room was incredibly comfortable and spacious, complete with its own terrace, so much so that we ended up having several dinners in the room. The views from the pool and spa stretch endlessly across valleys and vineyards. Of all the traveling we’ve done, I can honestly say that five days in Champagne ranks firmly in our top ten.
